Mumbai is getting ready to welcome Bappa with grand celebrations, devotion and an unmistakable festive spirit. As the countdown to Ganeshotsav begins, the city’s streets, mandals and neighbourhoods are slowly transforming into vibrant hubs of excitement.

The long-anticipated Ganpati Aagman Sohla is currently generating excitement throughout Mumbai. With people flocking to welcome beautifully crafted idols, from the famous Lalbaug-Parel belt to other parts of the city, the atmosphere is showcased with dhol-tasha performance and chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya”.

The excitement is visible at some of the grand Ganpati mandals across Mumbai. The grand celebrations of the Lalbaugcha Raja have already started, signifying the level of preparations that are normally evident in Mumbai's Ganeshotsav.

This year, Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on September 14, 2026. As a result, the next few weeks will be extra special for the devotees in terms of preparations.
